Hey Mr DJ understands this and therefore promises a special, unique and memorable celebration of your new union of love, that will be enjoyed by all ages and musical tastes.

With 20 years’ combined experience in weddings, birthday parties, matric dances, anniversary parties, private parties, office parties and university formals with over 1000 functions done we specialize in making wedding day dreams come true.

We can cater for weddings of just 60 guests, right up to 500+ guests.

Hey Mr DJ expanded its staff in 2014 and the very talented DJ and Producer Liam Pitcher has joined our team taking over all the performances of functions. This addition has greatly improving our quality of service whilst keeping the essence of Hey Mr DJ success alive.

We pride ourselves on the level of Professional, top of the range sound equipment we use. Utilizing the latest JBL EON515XT speakers, JBL PRX618XLF subs, Shure wireless microphone systems, Vestax Mixers and Traktor DJ Pro software, we ensure your wedding sounds the way it should – PERFECT! Hey Mr DJ also offers a wide selection of lighting options, ambient LED lighting comes standard to wash the dance floor and walls with dynamic vibrant colours. On top of this we offer advanced intelligent lighting including ADJ Moving Heads, Martin EFX series effects lighting, full colour lasers and production grade hazers to produce a near invisible haze which makes the light beams POP! Lighting requirements are completely customised per event and details of your requests will be discussed in a face to face meeting.

Regarding music what can we say…We are very versatile and have a wide selection of music will cater for all tastes ranging from Golden oldies, Classic Rock, Hip hop, Contemporary Pop, House, 60s/70s/80s, Dance, Sokkie and even trance for those on the wild side. Email me us and ask for our playlists to have a look otherwise leave it up to the professionals to ensure everyone is on the floor. A meeting prior to the occasion is recommended where a song request list can be drawn up, the do’s and don’ts of what you would and would not like to hear and finally the event coordination around which the music can be planned and discussed. We’re based in Meadowridge Constantia in the Southern Suburbs.

Setup happens two hours before so that everything is ready when your guests arrive. We are happy to provide solutions to all your ceremony, pre drinks and reception needs just ask in our form on the contacts tab.
